We publish only images we have established are free to reuse commercially — public domain, CC0, a Creative Commons licence that permits it, or the Unsplash or Pexels licence. Each image links to its applicable terms. We do not use generated pictures as documentary images of real places.
Of the 176 approved images in the library, 116 are in use here. The rest are held for pages not yet written. Seven further images passed a metadata check and failed a visual one — they were rejected, not published.
