Sending a file to Charlotte-Print does not start a print run. It starts a quote. The shop states that production begins only after the price, timing, specification and proof have all been approved, and that a person looks at the file before any of that happens. If you have ever had a job come back trimmed through the text, or discovered at collection that "letter size" meant something different at each end of the conversation, that is the failure mode this process is built around.

What they print. Wide-format plan sets and blueprints; banners, yard signs and posters; flyers, brochures, postcards and EDDM mailers, door hangers, stickers and labels; business cards, letterhead, envelopes, ID cards and badges, presentation folders and carbonless NCR forms; booklets, menus and coil, comb or Wire-O binding. They will also bind pages you printed yourself, which is worth knowing if you have a manual or a thesis and no way to finish it.

Who it suits. Contractors sending scaled CAD drawings for a bid or a permit set; churches and schools reprinting the same bulletin or programme format week after week; restaurants replacing menus after a price change; real-estate agents and nonprofits working from Canva files that need a bleed check before anything is committed to paper; and anyone with a funeral programme and a service date that cannot move. The shop publishes separate guidance for each of those, organised around how the job behaves rather than what it is called.

Blueprints and plan sets. This is the one area with public pricing: black-and-white plan sheets on standard bond, with no minimum order, in sizes from 18x24 up to 42x60. Sets can be collated, stapled, folded or rolled, and scale is checked before printing. Current sheet prices are on their blueprint page.

For businesses. Purchase orders are accepted, net 30 invoicing is available on an approved account subject to credit approval, and a signed W-9 is returned on request — the three things that usually decide whether a small supplier can get onto an approved-vendor list. Approved artwork is kept on file so a reorder matches the previous run. Designers, agencies and print brokers can hold their own trade account.

Practical notes. One counter, not a chain: the pages for NoDa, Northlake, Huntersville, Concord, Harrisburg and the UNC Charlotte area describe areas served from this shop, not separate branches. Free local delivery is offered on orders over $250 within roughly 15 miles; beyond that it is quoted. Same-day and next-day work is available for qualifying jobs, but the shop is clear that it is not automatic — it depends on the file, the quantity, the stock, the finishing and what is already on the press. If a deadline is fixed, send the file and then call.

Two things worth knowing before you approve a job: a digital proof confirms content and layout rather than exact printed colour, so say so up front if colour matching matters; and full bleed is included in the standard matte business-card package but is charged as an extra on other products.

They also publish a set of free file-preparation guides — a print-ready PDF checklist, a Canva export guide, bleed and resolution basics, and separate notes on blueprint scale, booklet page counts and banner sizing. They are useful whoever you end up printing with.
