In this guide
This is a curated starting list. A brewery brand can have several locations, and a taproom visit does not necessarily mean beer is brewed at that address.
North Charlotte and the North Davidson corridor
These venues sit along different parts of the corridor. Use the individual address when planning a meeting or a route.
| Taproom | Operator-published address | Where to check the visit |
|---|---|---|
| NoDa Brewing Company | 150 W 32nd Street | NoDa's visitor locations |
| Birdsong Brewing Co. | 1016 North Davidson Street | Birdsong's taproom page |
| Free Range Brewing — The Brewery | 2320 North Davidson Street | Free Range's brewery and bar locations |
| Salud Cerverceria | 3306-C North Davidson Street | Salud's official site |
NoDa's news archive records the end of public operations at its former OG taproom. Older listings can still point to 2229 North Davidson Street; use the current visitor page when choosing where to go.
For more of the area, see NoDa and North Charlotte.
South End and LoSo
The operators identify these as different locations within the broader South End/Lower South End area. Check the address before arranging transport.
| Taproom | Operator-published address | Where to check the visit |
|---|---|---|
| Hi-Wire Brewing — Charlotte taproom | 340 W Tremont Avenue, Suite 140 | Hi-Wire's South End page |
| Brewers at 4001 Yancey | 4001-A Yancey Road | Brewers at 4001 Yancey's official site |
Wesley Heights and University City
| Taproom | Operator-published address | Where to check the visit |
|---|---|---|
| Town Brewing Co. — Wesley Heights | 800 Grandin Road | Town's official site |
| Armored Cow Brewing — JW Clay Boulevard | 8821 JW Clay Boulevard, Suite 1 | Armored Cow's official site |
Pair the location check with the University City guide or the Historic West End guide when planning the rest of your day. Those guides cover wider areas, so check the journey to the individual venue.
Beer bars, bottle shops and another Free Range location
A beer-focused venue can be a useful alternative to a brewery taproom. The operators describe the following formats:
| Venue | Operator-published location | Format described by the operator |
|---|---|---|
| Free Range — The Bar | 301 Camp Road | A separate bar location from The Brewery on North Davidson Street |
| Charlotte Beer Garden | 1300 S Tryon Street | Draft-beer venue with a kitchen |
| Craft Tasting Room & Growler Shop | 1320 S Church Street | Tasting room and growler shop |
| The Hobbyist | 2100 North Davidson Street, Suite D | Coffee shop, bar and beer/wine bottle shop |
| The Hop Shop | 818 Lamar Avenue | Beer bar offering drinks to enjoy there or take away |
| Vintner Wine Market | 8128 Providence Road | Wine market with beer retail |
For airport dining, use CLT's current directory to confirm the concession and terminal location. Plan those around a flight rather than treating them as ordinary neighborhood brewery stops. The CLT airport guide explains the wider airport visit.
Before choosing
- Check whether the venue serves a meal, hosts a food truck or expects you to arrange food separately.
- Check the specific location's child, pet and age policies if they matter to your group.
- Open the current tap list or event calendar if a particular beer or event is the reason for going.
- Plan the return journey before drinking. Start with getting around Charlotte.
For a meal alongside the outing, compare food halls or places to eat by area. If you want a day that does not center on alcohol, use alcohol-free Charlotte.
Sources and check date
Location and venue-format information was checked against the linked operator pages on October 3, 2026. NoDa's closure context comes from its own dated news archive. Airport information links to CLT's directory. Current hours, prices, menus and visit policies remain with each operator.
