Two worth knowing about specifically
ImaginOn on East Seventh Street is a joint venture between the library and Children's Theatre of Charlotte — a library and a working theatre in one building. If you are visiting Charlotte with children and it rains, this is the answer.
The Robinson-Spangler Carolina Room is the system's local history and genealogy collection, and it is where serious research into a Charlotte house, family or neighbourhood starts. When we last checked it was operating by phone and virtual reference only rather than as a walk-in room, so contact them before making a trip.
